China released the first set of images from its Fengyun-3H meteorological satellite on Tuesday.

The images include a global view from the satellite's Medium Resolution Spectral Imager, a true-color image of Antarctica, and an observation of the Arctic polar vortex.

According to the China Meteorological Administration, six of the satellite's nine remote sensing instruments are now operational and being tested in orbit.
