APEC member economies have collaborated across various sectors over the past several decades. Health sciences have become a central focus as countries strive to develop a sustainable workforce and increase productivity. Professor Megan Gibbons, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Health Sciences at the University of Otago in New Zealand, states that APEC economies should work toward establishing a regional health system to tackle shared challenges and promote equity.
