Northern China deepens collaboration in the elderly care sector

CGTN

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is taking a new approach to the development of the elderly care industry, with the goal of improving the lives of senior citizens.

This collaborative effort aims to provide dual benefits: increased job opportunities for university graduates and targeted training for the unemployed. The customized elderly care courses are designed with a two-pronged approach. For university graduates, these courses strengthen their professional skills by equipping them with the specialized knowledge and practical abilities required in the rapidly growing elderly care sector. For the unemployed, the courses enable them to acquire in-demand skills and increase their employability in this emerging field.

Attended by leaders from the human resources bureaus of the three regions, the launch ceremony was a significant part of the 4th Vocational Training and Development Conference of Chaoyang District in Beijing.

The conference also made a major move in terms of international exchange by launching the International Skilled Talent Cultivation and Enhancement Initiative, releasing the "White Paper on the International Development of Vocational Skills in Chaoyang District," and establishing the International Youth Talent Development Alliance.

Leading vocational training institutions from five countries – including Pearson BTEC from the UK, the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM), and Montpellier Business School from France, were invited to complete cooperation agreements.
