From a defunct South Korean-funded shipyard that sat idle for over a decade to a world-leading single-site shipbuilding hub, Hengli Heavy Industry—a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hengli Group, one of China's top three private companies has completed its transformation in just over three years. Today, it not only mass-produces large ships "like boiling dumplings" in batches but also supports high-quality manufacturing and rapid scaling, aligning with the emphasis on "private enterprises participating in industrial upgrading" in the national industrial development strategy.
