The 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting will be held in Gyeongju, the Republic of Korea, from October 31 to November 1 under the theme of "Building a Sustainable Tomorrow: Connect, Innovate, Prosper." CGTN has launched the "Act to Action" social campaign, inviting youth from all the APEC economies to share their thoughts on global governance.
Tieu Thanh, a young Vietnamese woman living in north China's Tianjin, shares her thoughts on APEC's achievements and her expectations for the 2025 APEC meeting in Gyeongju. She said that APEC has changed the lives of many Vietnamese people and that about 80 percent of Vietnam's foreign investment comes from APEC members.
As important members of APEC, China and Vietnam have further strengthened the construction of their land and sea transportation networks through cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and the Two Corridors and One Economic Circle. She said she hopes that ordinary people in every Asia-Pacific economy can feel tangible changes from this year's meeting in Gyeongju.
