Located in east China's Shandong Province, Qingdao is a gateway for cooperation between China and the Republic of Korea (ROK). Over the years, these two countries' friendly exchanges and economic and trade cooperation have yielded fruitful results. The "Qingdao-Jeju" container route made its maiden voyage in Qingdao on October 16. It is the first international regular container liner route from Jeju in the ROK. The new route is another bridge for deepening cooperation and integration between China and the ROK. As one of Qingdao's landmark scenic spots, Mount Laoshan is known as "the No.1 Famous Mountain on the Sea." It's the highest mountain along the 18,000-kilometer coastline of the Chinese mainland and embodies the romance of the interdependence between mountains and the sea, as well as the aesthetics of Taoism that follows the laws of nature.
