00:56

Chinese President Xi Jinping said China and the U.S. are capable of helping each other succeed and prosper together. Xi also said he is ready to continue working with President Donald Trump to build a solid foundation for China-U.S. relations and foster a sound atmosphere for the development of both countries. He made the remarks during a meeting with Trump after landing in Busan, ahead of the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea. Commenting on the meeting, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon told CGTN host Tian Wei that multilateral platforms such as  APEC are of great importance, as they allow leaders from China, the United States, and other economies to meet face-to-face and explore possibilities for cooperation.
