Chinese President Xi Jinping said Thursday that China and the United States are fully able to help each other succeed and prosper together.
Xi made the remarks during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump after landing in Busan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), ahead of the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Gyeongju and a state visit to the ROK.
Xi emphasized that China's development and revitalization goes hand in hand with President Trump's vision to "Make America Great Again."
China and the United States should be partners and friends, he said. "That is what history has taught us and what reality needs."
"I am ready to continue working with you to build a solid foundation for China-U.S. relations and create a sound atmosphere for the development of both countries," Xi said.
