Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday called on China and the U.S. to focus on the long-term benefits brought by cooperation rather than falling into a vicious cycle of retaliation.

He made the remarks during a meeting with his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, after landing in Busan, the Republic of Korea.
