The China Coast Guard (CCG) conducted law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters of China's Huangyan Dao and surrounding areas on Friday.
In a statement, the CCG said it had intensified law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters of the island of Huangyan and surrounding areas since the beginning of this month.
The CCG carried out tracking, warning, intercepting and expelling operations against ships and aircraft engaged in illegal infringing and harassing activities in this region, in accordance with laws and regulations.
The operations aimed to strengthen the management and control of the related maritime areas and firmly safeguard China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, the CCG said.
