Melody of Peace, Ripple of Action

"Ode to Peace" is a musical work for peace. It is the third movement, "Voice of Humanity" of a symphonic poem, composed by Chinese composer Luo Wei, with lyrics by Xu Nuo, and performed by young singer Zhou Shen. It had its premiere at the UN Headquarters in New York on UN Chinese Language Day.

Centered on the core values of "harmony, concord, and peace," the song combines elements of Chinese civilization. It calls for global goodwill and the building of a shared home, and emphasizes that "the power of goodwill from each individual, though weak, is sincere and strong."

This work responds to the UN's peace initiatives and demonstrates the efforts of Chinese musicians in promoting global governance on the international stage.
