First snowfall turns Jiuzhaigou into a winter wonderland
On October 31, the Jiuzhaigou scenic area in Sichuan Province welcomed its first snowfall of the autumn season. Over 2,600 colorful pools were blanketed in snow, creating a contrast between the pure white landscape and the vivid blue-green hues of the water. The distinctive "dragon scale" patterns at the bottom of the pools appeared even more pronounced amid the snow-dusted foliage, transforming the UNESCO World Heritage site into a fairytale-like wonderland.
