Moraima Ordoñez, a Mexican student at Peking University, said that the president's speech at the first session of the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting outlined a clear direction for future Asia-Pacific cooperation and development, stressing the importance of open trade and mutual benefit. As a young person from an APEC economy, she expressed hope that the region will strengthen cooperation by creating global pathways for the younger generation. "Youth are the bridge to the future, and under the idea of inclusion, young people must play an active role through open channels of communication and participation," she said.
