Ceasefire line turns into barrier as Gazans struggle to return home

00:47

Since the first phase of the ceasefire took effect on October 10, Israeli forces have pulled back behind the agreed "yellow line," allowing many displaced Palestinians to head home. However, for those whose houses lie within Israeli-controlled areas, the "yellow line" has become an impassable divide.

Israel's defense minister has warned that "any violation or attempt to cross the line will be met with fire." The Israeli military said it killed a Palestinian man in northern Gaza's Shujayea on November 2, claiming he had approached the "yellow line."
