Multiple comprehensive drills have been conducted at the Dongfeng landing site in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to ensure the safe return of the Shenzhou-20 crew, upon completion of their mission aboard China's space station.
After rounds of drills, the systems for air search and rescue, ground response, communication support, and medical monitoring and aid are fully prepared. All search and rescue teams and equipment at the landing site are in excellent condition and ready to carry out the mission.
China launched the Shenzhou-20 manned spacecraft, carrying astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie, in April this year.
The astronaut trio has completed a series of tasks, including extravehicular activities and conducting various space science experiments.
