Moment of partial collapse of tower near Rome's Colosseum

00:19

On November 3, part of the medieval Torre dei Conti collapsed during restoration work in central Rome. The failure injured four construction workers and prompted an immediate emergency rescue effort. The 29-meter tower, originally built in the early 13th century for Pope Innocent III's family, had been abandoned for years before the renovation. A second partial collapse occurred as firefighters worked on the site, generating a large dust cloud. None of the rescue personnel were injured, Italy's Ansa news agency stated.
