A magnitude-6.4 earthquake struck Afghanistan at a depth of 20 kilometers on November 3, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The powerful quake has killed at least eight people and injured at least 180, local authorities reported. The Afghan government says rescue teams are assessing damage in remote areas and warns the death toll could rise as communications are restored.
