China's Ministry of Commerce on Tuesday urged the Netherlands to stop interfering in internal corporate affairs and to seek a constructive resolution regarding the semiconductor company Nexperia.
A spokesperson for the ministry commented on recent issues related to Nexperia, an overseas subsidiary of the Chinese company Wingtech, when asked for their remarks.
The spokesperson said that the Dutch side's failure to take concrete action to resolve the issue will inevitably worsen the negative impact on the global semiconductor supply chain, an outcome neither the Chinese side nor the global industry wants to see.
China hopes the Dutch side can act responsibly and work with China to maintain China-Netherlands and China-Europe economic and trade relations, as well as the stability and security of industrial and supply chains, the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson stated that China will firmly defend the legitimate rights and interests of companies and work to ensure a stable, smooth global semiconductor supply chain.
