China urges Netherlands to stop disrupting global chip supply chain amid Nexperia turmoil

China urges the Dutch government to stop interfering in internal business affairs and work toward finding a constructive solution to the issues related to the semiconductor manufacturer Nexperia, an overseas subsidiary of Chinese company Wingtech, said a spokesperson of China's Ministry of Commerce on Tuesday.

China expressed its hope that the Netherlands, from the perspective of safeguarding China-Dutch and China-EU economic and trade relations, as well as the stability and security of the supply chain, will adopt a responsible attitude and engage with China in a constructive manner, said the spokesperson.

At the same time, China will firmly protect the legitimate rights of its enterprises and continue efforts to stabilize and ensure the smooth functioning of the global semiconductor supply chain.
