In a recent interview with CGTN, Chinese Ambassador to Spain Yao Jing outlined key priorities of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), emphasizing its focus on building a comprehensive industrial system with manufacturing at the center. Ambassador Yao highlighted significant synergies with European economies, noting Spain's advanced manufacturing capabilities and innovation strength as natural partnership opportunities.
The ambassador emphasized that the plan focuses on developing high-quality talent and advancing science and technology — areas where existing collaborations between Chinese and Spanish universities and research institutions lay a strong foundation. These established joint projects and mutual exchanges create an ideal platform for mobilizing additional resources and expanding future cooperation between China and Spain.
