A Romanian worker died on his way to hospital after being rescued from Torre dei Conti, a medieval tower which partially collapsed on Monday.

Parts of the 29-meter tower in central Rome crashed to the ground at least twice. A second worker, also Romanian, was hospitalized with serious injuries, while two other workers suffered minor injuries.
