Located about 30 kilometers south of Xi'an, South Wutai Mountain is an ancient Buddhist sacred site where more than 40 temples still remain today. As part of the Zhongnan Mountain National Forest Park, it is known for its views of winding clouds after rain. Visitors can also enjoy views over the Central Shaanxi Plain from the observation platforms.
