As a supporting event for the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), Shanghai has kicked off the 2025 Imported Goods Shopping Festival and the Country-Specific Product Cultural Month, a month-long celebration. The twin events feature nearly 50 diverse activities that allow residents and visitors to experience shopping from around the world without leaving the city.
Since its inception in 2020, the Imported Goods Shopping Festival has hosted nearly 300 import-themed events, generating total sales of around 6 billion yuan ($842 million), while the Country-Specific Product Cultural Month has evolved into a key platform for international trade and cultural cooperation, fostering mutual cooperation and stronger ties between nations.
