Seven New York City firefighters were injured after a car exploded into a massive fireball. They were responding to a fire involving trash and a car in the Bronx on Wednesday, officials said.
Five firefighters suffered burns to their hands and faces, and three were taken to the hospital. None of the injuries are life-threatening.
The explosion happened shortly after 7 p.m. on November 5, when firefighters arrived at the scene and found trash and debris on fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
