Belt and Road partners hail China's disaster response

"The drill showed the excellent and international capacity for China," remarked Hosam Alkaweesh, assistant to the minister of Egypt's Ministry of Local Development, capturing the consensus of observers at a major maritime rescue exercise in Sanya.

The demonstration, part of the Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management, showed China's innovative "underwater, surface, and aerial" integrated rescue system. 

Gabriel Belem Monteiro, vice-president of Mozambique's National Institute of Disaster Management, said, "This mechanism can help us to solve some problems," highlighting a shared desire to adopt China's proven experience and enhance global emergency preparedness together.
