Former Bolivian President Jeanine Anez was released from prison in La Paz on November 6 after the Supreme Court ordered an end to her preventive detention. She had been convicted in 2022 over her role in assuming power following the 2019 resignation of Evo Morales. Anez is expected to attend President-elect Rodrigo Paz's inauguration this weekend.
