Georgia is stepping up efforts to strengthen regional connectivity through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the Middle Corridor Initiative, said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
As one of the first nations to join the China-proposed BRI, Georgia has already reaped benefits from key infrastructure projects, including the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway linking Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye, which began operation in 2017.
In an exclusive interview with China Media Group (CMG), Kobakhidze highlighted how the initiative supports Georgia's development goals.
