In diving action at China's 15th National Games in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province, on Friday, Olympic champion Yang Hao teamed up with Bai Yuming to win gold for Shaanxi in the men's synchronized 10-meter platform.
Yang and Bai's scored more than 8.5 points on each of their first five attempts to sit 30 points ahead of their closest competitors. Although Bai made a mistake on their last dive, it made little difference due to the huge advantage, as he and Yang bagged the title with 461.82 points.
Guangdong veteran Chen Aisen and Zhu Zifeng finished second, 27.27 points behind, while Tianjin's Huang Zigan and Yang Ling rounded out the podium in third.
In the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard final, 2024 Paris Summer Olympics double gold medalist Chen Yiwen teamed up with Lin Shan to take the title for Guangdong.
The pair topped the leaderboard in all five rounds to claim the crown with 333.12 points. Shaanxi came away with silver while Hubei settled for bronze.
Chen only started teaming up with Lin last month, but their winning score was even higher than the 325.20 points that she and Chen Jia tallied while grabbing the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard title at this year's World Championships in July.

Three Wushu gold medals were awarded in Guangzhou, highlighted by Jiangsu's Yang Yalin triumphing in the men's Changquan, knife and cudgel all-round.
A total of 15 athletes competed in the Changquan and Yang ranked first with 9.830 points. In the knife, he topped the standings again with the same score. And in the evening's cudgel all-round, Yang received 9.830 points for the third time to claim top honors with an overall score of 29.490 points, clinching his first Wushu title at the National Games.
Li Jianming, representing Beijing Sports University, claimed the men's Nanquan, Nandao and Nangun all-round gold medal. Li ranked first in the Nanquan with 9.830 points. The 34-year-old also topped the standings in both the Nandao and the Nangun all-round with the same score, pocketing the title with an overall score of 29.490 points. This edition marks his fourth time competing in the National Games since 2013.
Fujian's Tong Xin won the women's Taijiquan and Taijijian gold medal. A total of 16 athletes took part in the Taijiquan, with Hangzhou Asian Games winner Tong ranking first after picking up 9.830 points. She earned the same score in the Taijijian to seal the title with an overall score of 19.660 points for her first National Games title.
Two cycling individual time trial competitions wrapped up as well. Miao Chengshuo claimed the men's gold for Shandong and Zhang Hao brought home the women's title for Hainan.
