Recently, Chris Aylett, a research fellow at the Environment and Society Centre at Chatham House, stated in a program that the U.S. was once a major player in climate diplomacy and, together with China, contributed to several remarkable achievements. Today, addressing climate and environmental issues requires cooperation and joint efforts from all countries around the world.

Aylett further pointed out that the focus of global climate governance has shifted: it is no longer about setting ambitious targets or outlining directions, nor is it solely about diplomatic negotiations. What's needed now is concrete, on-the-ground implementation of solutions, decisive structural change and the effective enforcement of climate policies.
