Yan'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province is considered a city of utmost significance in the history of China's revolution and the cradle of New China. The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the older generation of revolutionaries lived and struggled in Yan'an for 13 years from 1935 to 1948.

There, the revolutionary cause rose from a low tide to a high tide and achieved its historic transition, thereby turning the tables on China's future and destiny.

Yan'an nurtured the CPC's development and supported the victory of the Chinese revolution. The city, which boasts a wide variety of food and grain, and its people have made a tremendous contribution to the victory of the Chinese revolution.
