The 15th National Games opened grandly in Guangzhou on November 9, co-hosted by Guangdong Province and the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions. The opening ceremony blended Chinese cultural heritage with the unique characteristics of the Greater Bay Area, leaving a lasting impression. Taiwan youth at the event were deeply moved. In an interview with CGTN's Mi Sutong, Lin Mai, a young Taiwan business representative, said the concentric-circle scene symbolized unity across the Taiwan Straits. He emphasized that the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area provides a broad platform for youth on both sides of the straits and expressed hope that sports can further promote exchanges and integration. Ji Jiawei, a Jinan University student from Taiwan living in Guangzhou, shared that Guangdong has become her "second hometown" and she looks forward to continuing to pursue her dreams there.
