The Global Governance Initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping aligns squarely with the United Nations Charter, said Keith Bennett, vice chair of Britain's 48 Group Club and co-editor of Friends of Socialist China, on Wednesday.
"It's compatible with the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations. It's also compatible with the Charter of the United Nations, which comes out of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and tries to put international relations on a democratic basis," Bennett said during an interview with CGTN at the International Forum of the Overseas Studies on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, which opened in Beijing on Wednesday.
