COP30 President: Show the world developing countries' climate efforts

00:48

At the COP30 press conference, Chairman Andre Correa do Lago discussed the different roles of developed and developing countries in accelerating climate action.

He noted that China, as a key player in the Global South, actively promotes renewable energy and sustainable development. Meanwhile, some developed countries still face challenges in executing these initiatives.

Do Lago highlighted that developing countries have already made significant efforts to fight climate change, and with extra financial support, they could do even more. He urged for more opportunities for these nations, emphasizing that international cooperation and funding are crucial for expanding global climate initiatives.
