"Bridge To A Shared Future," a documentary jointly shot by Chinese and American filmmakers has won a Golden Angel Award for "Best TV Documentary" at the recently concluded 21st Chinese American Film and Television Festivals in Los Angeles.
The film reviews the journeys of US journalists Edgar Snow and Helen Foster Snow through the perspective of Helen's great-nephew, Adam Foster, who is also a journalist from the US.
The couple visited China in the 1930s and yielded the landmark book "Red Star over China," based on their lengthy interviews and close contact with late Chinese leaders including Mao Zedong, Zhu De and Peng Dehuai in northwest China.

Guo Shaochun, Chinese consul general in Los Angeles, said that the book offered the international community the first glimpse of China's revolutionary base areas. "Today, Snow's unfinished journey of seeing China continues with a new generation. Through film and new technology, young people are showing the world a real, dynamic and multidimensional China," he added at the 21st Chinese American Film and Television Festivals.

Originally titled "Snow: The Road Not Taken," this film has embarked on an extraordinary journey since the launch of an international forum centered on Snow's influence on today's world held in Yan'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province in 2021.
The film's production crew traversed nine cities across China and the US and visited 37 historical sites, delving deep into the past to bring history to life on the big screen. In addition to standing out from over 600 works at this 21st Chinese American Film and Television Festivals, this film has also earned the recognition of multiple national-level key film and television projects within China for its international perspective and cross-cultural exploration.
"Bridge To A Shared Future" will also be released in the North American market, according to Guo.
Held annually every November in Hollywood, the Chinese American Film and Television Festivals have grown bigger and more spectacular, as a leading platform for cultural exchange across the Pacific.
