U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday evening signed a funding bill into law to keep the government running until January 30, ending the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. The Senate passed the bill on Monday and the House approved it earlier this evening, bringing an end to the 43-day shutdown that left thousands of federal employees unpaid, furloughed or laid off, and caused major disruptions to air travel and public services.
