Vibrant China: The wild side of Beijing in a British naturalist's eyes

In recent years, China's development vitality has surged across various sectors, with high-quality growth and the integration of innovation fueling momentum in global development.  

Terry Townshend from the UK is a birdwatcher and wildlife conservation expert based in Beijing. When he first arrived in Beijing, he was deeply captivated by the city's rich biodiversity. To date, over 500 bird species have been recorded in Beijing. In this video, Terry led a group of bird enthusiasts from different countries to Guanting Reservoir in Yanqing district, Beijing, to observe migratory birds passing through the city. Terry emphasizes that when people learn more about nature and its amazing stories, they are more likely to fall in love with it. And if we fall in love with it, we will want to protect it.
