More than 2,000 southbound swans have arrived at the Yellow River Wetland in Pinglu county, north China's Shanxi Province, alluring visitors and photographers from across the country. To help the swans overwinter safely, local authorities have undertaken a series of ecological restoration efforts. The annual "swan-watching boom" has also boosted the local economy, with agri-tourism businesses opening along the wetlands.
