Former Chinese Kuomintang Party leaders Ma Ying-jeou and Hung Hsiu-chu have joined some Taiwan politicians in voicing criticism and concern over recent remarks made by Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on Taiwan. They urged the Japanese leader to act with caution on the Taiwan question, reiterating that it remains China's domestic affair. Others whom CGTN spoke to described Takaichi's remarks as arrogant and provocative.
