Global economists weigh in on China’s 15th Five-Year Plan recommendations

At a sustainability forum at the University of Hong Kong on Friday, international economists discussed China's 15th Five-Year Plan recommendations. Solomon Hsiang, a professor from Stanford University, said China is uniquely positioned to combine technological and industrial innovations for addressing environmental challenges, due to its manufacturing and innovation capabilities. He Guojun, an environmental economist from the University of Hong Kong, highlighted China's significant achievements in carbon emission control and recommended the development of more market-based instruments for local companies.
