The 2025 Guangzhou International Light Festival kicked off Sunday in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, highlighted by the spectacular return of the giant floating Aoyu fish lantern that went viral during the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games on November 9.

During the lighting ceremony, Canton Tower, the East Tower and the West Tower lit up together for the first time, creating a dazzling show that blended traditional Lingnan culture with modern technology and the vibrant spirit of the National Games.
