Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi recently made erroneous remarks concerning Taiwan. The remarks seriously violate the spirit of the four political documents between China and Japan, and cause fundamental damage to the political foundation of China-Japan relations.

CGTN Stringer interviewed locals in Taipei city in China's Taiwan region who shared their thoughts on Takaichi's remarks and their impact on the lives of people in the Taiwan region in the future. One resident said, "Nobody likes war. In war, the people are the ones who really suffer."
