Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated on Wednesday that the international community must remain highly vigilant and resolutely thwart any attempt to revive militarism, in response to a question about the recent blatant remarks by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi regarding Taiwan.
Spokesperson Mao Ning told a daily press briefing that history shows that launching aggression against other countries using the so-called "survival-threatening situation" and "self-defense" as reasons has always been a convenient tactic of Japanese militarism.
