A fire broke out at the COP30 UN Climate Summit venue in Belém, Brazil, on November 20 while critical talks were underway, forcing a full evacuation of the Blue Zone. Authorities said the blaze was swiftly brought under control, and 13 people were treated for smoke inhalation. After several hours of safety checks, organizers reopened the zone and resumed sessions as negotiations entered their final phase.
