China's military has issued strong responses after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi made provocative remarks on Taiwan.
On the social media platform X, the official account of China's armed forces, China Military Bugle, posted a warning cartoon stating that those who play with fire will eventually get burned.
Several major PLA commands, including the North Sea Fleet, Southern Theater Command, Central Theater Command and Eastern Theater Command, also released music video warnings on their social media platforms. The lyrics carried strong messages such as "Enemies, I'm ready to face you with my bullet in the chamber" and "In the skies we show our strength – don't be too arrogant."
The PLA Daily published an article titled "Calling for armed intervention in the Taiwan Strait will only lead Japan down a path of no return," warning that any military involvement would bring grave consequences – worsening Japan's security environment, exposing the entire country to the risk of becoming a battlefield and placing Japan once again on the pillar of historical shame.

Earlier, Defense Ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin reiterated that the Taiwan question is purely China's internal affair. Marking the 80th anniversary of both the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and Taiwan's restoration from colonial rule, Jiang warned that if Japan ignores historical lessons and takes reckless actions, including military intervention, it will "hit the iron wall of the PLA" and pay a "heavy price."
