French author Ayméric Monville, condemned Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's recent statements on Taiwan, calling them a dangerous attempt to revive Japan's militarist and expansionist ambitions.
Monville recalled Taiwan's suffering under 50 years of Japanese colonial rule and warned that Japan's provocative rhetoric dangerously echoes the justifications once used for its aggressive invasions during World War Two. He emphasized that such interference heightens regional tensions, threatens peace and disregards the international order established after Japan's defeat.
