In the popular Chinese travel reality show "Divas Hit the Road: Silk Road Season," a small Icelandic boutique – Mjuk Iceland – quietly stole the spotlight. Featured for its vibrant wool hats, gloves and scarves, the shop soon became an unexpected sensation among Chinese viewers. What began as a brief stopover during the filming quickly turned this remote store into a must-visit landmark for Chinese tourists, thousands of kilometers away from home.
In an interview with CGTN, shop owner and chief designer Anna Morris recalled how the encounter sparked a wave of warmth and curiosity from China. She said that even though Iceland is small and China is big, the pursuit of same moral values from mutual sides, like peace, kindness and respect to each other, are same.
