Gateway to the stars: Explore China's commercial spaceflight city
China's leaps in space exploration have piqued the interest of people up and down the country, who visit the Wenchang Aerospace Science Center in Hainan Province in their droves to learn more about the country's space program.
The center is located within the broader Wenchang International Aerospace City, a key zone within the Hainan Free Trade Port designed to become the country's first hub for the emerging industry of commercial spaceflight. Here, visitors can get a close-up look of the commercial launch site including its command center, tour the rocket launch pad, and view both the rocket materials transport hub and the rocket assembly facility from the outside.
