Ukraine will consult with its partners in the coming days on steps to end the conflict with Russia, the Ukrainian president's office said on Saturday.

In a statement published on Telegram, it was announced that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the composition of the delegation, which will be led by the head of his office Andrii Yermak and includes top security officials, as well as directives for relevant negotiations.

Rustem Umerov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, wrote on Telegram, "...we are starting consultations between high-ranking officials of Ukraine and the United States on the possible parameters of a future peace agreement in Switzerland."

"Ukraine will never be an obstacle to peace, and representatives of the Ukrainian state will defend the legitimate interests of the Ukrainian people and the foundations of European security," according to the presidency office's statement.

U.S. President Donald Trump has approved a 28-point plan for peace between Russia and Ukraine, and Trump told the media that he believed Thursday was an appropriate deadline for Kyiv to accept the plan.
