Shanghai Port sealed a third straight Chinese Super League title, and fourth overall, with a 1-0 victory at Dalian Yingbo in the season finale on Saturday. Despite a strong year-long challenge from city rivals Shanghai Shenhua, Port wrapped up the trophy in front of a CSL-record crowd of 62,330 fans.

The decisive goal came early in the fourth minute, when Gabrielzinho burst through Dalian's defense and finished one-on-one, scoring his 11th goal of the season. That strike proved to be the match-winner in an otherwise lackluster contest, but the squad from Shanghai's focus remained on the title.

Beijing Guoan delivered a dominant performance in their season finale at home, thrashing Meizhou Hakka 5-1. The hosts opened the scoring through striker Fabio Abreu, who headed the ball into the net in the 18th minute for a 1-0 lead.

Abreu scored again with another header in first-half stoppage time, staking Beijing to a comfortable 2-0 advantage. Zhang Yuning added a third goal for the home side in the 56th minute.

Elias Omarsson pulled one back for Meizhou, but Abreu completed his hat-trick in the 71st minute and added a fourth in the 87th to clinch this season's Golden Boot with 28 goals, one more than Shandong Taishan's Valeri Qazaishvili.

The convincing loss brought an unceremonious end to Meizhou Hakka's latest sojourn in the top flight, as the 15th-placed side were relegated from the CSL, along with bottom club Changchun Yatai.
