China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning stated at a press briefing in Beijing on Monday that the international community must stay vigilant about Japan's plans to deploy offensive weapons near China's Taiwan region.
Mao noted that, combined with the recent erroneous remarks on China's Taiwan made by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, this trend is "extremely dangerous" and should raise alarms among neighboring countries and the wider international community.
She stressed that China will never allow Japan's right-wing provocateurs to reverse the wheel of history or lay their hands on China's Taiwan region, and China is resolved and capable of defending national and territorial sovereignty.
